Meet our Head Boy and Head Girl

Hello! My name is Adam and I am Head boy for 2023/24. I study Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.

I would describe myself as someone that can be approached, someone that will listen and someone that will take action. I am someone pupils can come to seek advice, express concerns or just have a quick chat. My main goals are to further promote inclusivity, strengthen the voice of students and implement changes where needed. I am also keen to use my platform as Head Boy to motivate students to put as much effort into their education as possible, in order to maximise their success. If something is worth doing it's worth doing well!

Hello, my name is Rachel and I am honoured to be Head Girl at Strabane Academy. I am currently studying Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. As Head Girl, I aim to help the school become a more inclusive and supportive community in which every pupil feels seen and heard. I want to be a friendly face and a listening ear to every pupil, whilst also promoting diversity and equality. I hope to be a role model for younger students to influence positive behaviour and respect towards others. I look forward to represent the school and promote ASPIRE throughout the year, allowing students and staff to shine.

Meet our Deputies 

Hi, my name is Beth. I am currently studying Biology, R.E and Health and Social Care. I am very excited to be a part of such a great team of hard-working and committed Deputy Heads. As a Deputy Head Girl, I wish to focus on bringing pupils closer together and ensuring every pupil’s voice is heard and that they feel included. I strive to be someone who pupils can reach out to if they need a helping hand. I wish to create a welcoming environment for our new pupils and so they enjoy their journey through the years at Strabane Academy.

Hi, my name is Emily and I am proud to be Deputy Head Girl. I study Geography, Health & Social Care and Business Studies. My plan for the year is to proudly represent our school and to improve school life for all pupils. 

Hi, my name is Juliana and I am proud to be Deputy Head Girl at Strabane Academy. I currently study Biology, Maths and P.E. 

I would like to help create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for every child that comes through our school. I want to be a good ambassador for our school and a role model for younger pupils.

Hi, my name is Eve Preston, I am so excited and grateful to be a part of such a dedicated and hardworking team of deputy heads. I am currently studying History, Health and Social care and I.C.T, which I enjoy greatly. As Deputy Head Girl I would focus on looking after and improving the mental health and wellbeing of all school participants to make sure they feel safe and secure and being that older person, they can confide in. By being a part of the nurturing sector alongside other teachers and pupils this will allow the opportunity to further prioritise and promote positivity within school.

Hello, my name is Scott, and I am the current Deputy Head Boy in Strabane Academy.  I am studying Geography, Biology and English Literature at AS Level. My main aspiration for Deputy Head is that I want to inspire the younger students to access their full potential. I want to convey how anyone can reach their dreams, within and outside their academic life, and how it just takes dedication to reach said dreams. Another aim for next year is that I want our school to be more representative of different cultures, and this could be achieved through promoting awareness through it via charity events.
