Meet our Head Boy and Head Girl

Hello, my name is Sam, and I am honoured to be Head Boy of Strabane Academy. I am currently studying Technology, Physics, Maths and Further Maths. Within this role, I want to help create a welcoming and supportive school environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to succeed. I hope to be approachable and lead by example, supporting every student throughout their time at school.  In the coming year, I aim to encourage students to strive for excellence academically and in sport to bring out the best in everyone.

Hi! My name is Melissa and I am extremely grateful to  call myself Head Girl of Strabane Academy. In this honourable position I strive to hear all voices who seek to be heard and to not only be listened to, but also understood. I whole-heartedly believe it is important for all pupils to be seen, from the loudest to the quietest, all opinions are unique, valuable, important and should be allowed to be expressed in a kind and accepting environment with Strabane Academy of which I hope to provide.

Hello, I am Alex. I am extremely honoured to be appointed Deputy Head Boy for Strabane Academy and the opportunity to give back to my school community for the 2026/27 school year. I'm studying A-Level Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Technology. In my leadership role I hope to inspire dedication, honesty and kindness throughout our entire school community. I will use my role to ensure representation for all pupils who voice their opinions to assure a thriving and coherent environment built on respect and commitment.

Meet our Senior Prefects 

Hello, my name is Matthew Brown, and I am honoured to be a member of the pupil leadership team being a Senior Prefect. A little about me, I am currently studying A-levels in Maths, Physics and Technology and absolutely love sports. I enjoy officiating, coaching and playing many different sports. As a Senior Prefect I am excited to promote a close-knit friendly community, and I hope I can be the best role model possible to young people being an approachable and welcoming senior pupil. I look forward for what’s to come in the 2026/27 school year!

Hello, my name is Kalum and I am honoured to be a Senior Prefect at Strabane Academy. I am studying History, Digital Technology and English Literature. With my role as Senior Prefect I hope I can help all students feel heard within school and excel in all subject areas. I want to help create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere within school where pupils have the confidence to grow both academically and personally during their time at Strabane Academy.

Hello, my name is Abi, and I am delighted that I am part of the pupil leadership team as a Senior Prefect. I am currently studying Technology, Mathematics and Physics and I am also passionate about Music and Art. My goal as Senior Prefect is to inspire pupils and motivate them to get more involved with school life at Strabane Academy. I want to set an example for all younger students so they take pride in our community as they excel in their education.
