It is with great pride that I welcome you to our school website. I am truly honoured to serve as the new Principal of Strabane Academy.

At Strabane Academy we offer a broad and balanced curriculum designed to nurture the unique strengths and talents of each individual pupil. Beyond the classroom, our students benefit from the wide range of enriching opportunities - from sports and music to educational visits, Scripture Union, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, to name just a few.

Coding Workshop. 🤖🌟 Well done to Edwards Primary School! 🌟🤖
A huge well done to Class 6 on completing their fantastic 3-week LEGO Coding Course with Mr Breen! 🧱💻
The pupils showed fantastic enthusiasm, teamwork and creativity throughout the course. It was brilliant to see them working together, solving problems and supporting each other as they developed their coding skills. 👏🤖
Their hard work and commitment were rewarded on Thursday as they proudly received their certificates! 🏆📜

🌱 Strabane Academy Business Studies Department – RiSE Project 🤝
We are delighted to be involved in the Unlocking the Potential of Rural Innovation and Social Enterprise (RiSE) Project.
RiSE is a cross-border initiative encouraging rural communities to explore the power of social enterprise as a pathway towards greater sustainability, innovation and growth.
The project, supported by PEACEPLUS and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB), aims to create new opportunities for community development, business and economic growth.
For our sixth form pupils, this is a fantastic opportunity to explore how entrepreneurial ideas can make a real difference within our local community, while developing valuable skills in innovation, enterprise and problem-solving.
We look forward to working with the RiSE project and seeing where our pupils’ ideas and creativity can take us! 🚀💡

Pupils from Mr Haughey’s GCSE Biology class took part in the UK Biology Challenge Olympiad, a competition designed to test and extend pupils’ knowledge and understanding of biology.
The class achieved awards ranging from Commended to Highly Commended. Special mention goes to Eleni Lynch, who achieved a Silver Award, placing her in the top 10% of participants, and Tom McConnell and Noah Sheen, who both achieved Bronze Awards, placing them in the top 15%. Well done to all!
