It is with great pride that I welcome you to our school website. I am truly honoured to serve as the new Principal of Strabane Academy.

I hope that as you explore these pages, you gain a clear sense of our commitment to the holistic development of every student in our care.

At Strabane Academy we offer a broad and balanced curriculum designed to nurture the unique strengths and talents of each individual pupil. Beyond the classroom, our students benefit from the wide range of enriching opportunities - from sports and music to educational visits, Scripture Union, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme, to name just a few.

Huge congratulations to Yr8 pupil & Sion Swifts FC Falcons player Ariana on being selected for the Elite National Performance Program for female footballers in Northern Ireland. The program has a track record of developing and nurturing the countries brightest young rising stars and is the first exciting stepping stone to womens international football.
Ariana made it through three rigorous weeks of trials to make it into the squad and
the club and coaches couldn’t be more proud of the incredible progress of another one of our young female players. We have no doubt Ariana will continue to shine and make us all proud with her determination and dedication qualities she possesses in abundance.
A huge thank you to her team coaches Jonathan Speak and Stephen Conroy for their hard work and all of her Sion Falcons team mates who have helped her reach this milestone in her footballing journey.
Well done Ariana, we wish you the very best as you start this exciting new journey and we can't wait to see you flourish and represent Sion Swifts with pride.

What an incredible day at Strabane Academy! 🩷
A huge thank you to our entire school community for your fantastic support for Think Pink Day in aid of Cancer Focus NI. 🎀
This event was organised and led by our amazing King’s Trust Year 11 pupils, who did a brilliant job from start to finish. They didn’t need to be told, they just got stuck in! 💪 From setting up early this morning, to running their stalls with smiles and enthusiasm, and even the clean-up operation afterwards, they showed real teamwork, leadership and heart. 👏
We are so proud of them and grateful to everyone who baked, bought, donated, dressed in pink or joined in the fun. Together, we’ve made a real difference for a great cause. With a grand total to date of £2550 💖

Day 4 🗽🎭
A Liberty Cruise offered unforgettable views of Lady Liberty, followed by a guided tour of Macy’s, which has proudly been in operation since 1902. Lunch at Raising Cane’s proved to be a favourite stop before exploring the incredible American Museum of Natural History. The evening concluded in spectacular fashion with a performance of The Great Gatsby on Broadway.
Day 5 ⚾️🛍️
Our final day brought a brilliant tour of Yankee Stadium, a peaceful walk through Central Park to visit the Strawberry Fields memorial, and some well-earned retail therapy at Queens Centre.
This has been a truly fantastic trip. Every pupil has been a credit to our school and their families. They are heading home to Northern Ireland with sore feet and plenty of tiredness, although they agree it has been absolutely class.
Our flight is scheduled to depart at 9.05pm US time. Safe travels home to everyone.
